dear diary,
Everything is so happy right now. Grandpa Charlie and Sue are getting
married today. I have a really pretty pink dress that I get to wear
and I am the flower girl. Sue looks really beautiful in her wedding
dress and there are flowers everywhere. Even Leah is wearing a dress
and she is gorgeous, too. Shay is wearing a dress, but she looks very
uncomfortable in it and I can tell she just wants the wedding to be
over with. Claire is upset because she wanted to be the flower girl,
but I know that she is happy for me and I offered to let her do it and
she told me to do it. I am ready for the wedding to start so I don't
ruin my pretty dress. Mommy is telling me I look like a princess and
that makes me smile. FINALLY it is show time. I floated down the aisle
tossing the flower petals this way and that until I made it to the
front. Mommy and Daddy had me sit on the front row so I would be able
to see. It was all so pretty I was absolutely captivated by the room.
Then the piano started the wedding march and we all turned and watched
Sue walk down the aisle. It was absolutely breathtaking. She is so
pretty. I can see how Grandpa Charlie could fall in love with her.
Shay was fidgeting next to me, which made me laugh quietly. She is
supposed to be the older of the two of us, but she fidgets more than I
do. Once the ceremony was over, we had the dinner. They had a bunch of
food that I really didn't want, but mommy asked me to eat just a
little for her. I got a bunch of cookies, those are the one food I
like, and went and sat down. Grandpa Charlie came and sat down next to
me and asked me how I liked the wedding. I told him how much fun I had
and he said I was just like my Aunt Alice because she practically gets
teary eyed at the sight of anyone in a wedding dress. Then, him and
Sue left. I really like weddings, but they are tiring. Im gonna go
take a nap. Write more soon.
