Dear diary,
Today is very hectic. We are preparing for a day called Easter and
everyone says it is a big day. I personally don't get it. I had to
take a picture with a big bunny and the best part is all the
decorations. Everywhere I look there are bunnies and duckies and
chickies everywhere. Bright decorations in the shape of eggs and
rabbits and bright colored ribbons. But that isn't even the busy part.
Grandma Renee is having her baby today! Grandpa Phil is freaking out a
lot because he is not familiar with kids. He seems fine with me. I
don't see how the new baby will be any different, except that it will
be a little more fragile. I helped get the baby room prepared so
everything was prepared. It is supposed to be twin girls. Mommy thinks
I will be a good aunt. I don't know what kind of aunt I wanna be yet,
though. I don't wanna be like Aunt Rose and be strict on looks. I want
the girls to feel like they can come to me and I will let them play in
the mud in jeans and not think they are gross. I don't wanna be like
Aunt Alice and stress one specific hobby. If they don't like Barbies,
we can play with jump ropes or bouncy balls. Uncle Emmett told me just
to be myself with them. He says I don't have to be like my aunts just
to be a good aunt. I think he is right. I will be the best aunt I can
and hope I am good enough for them. It was time to go to the hospital.
It always smells weird in there, like medicine and sickness all in one
breath. However, the baby area smelled like life and baby powder.
Daddy showed me which two were Grandma Renee's. Lily Rose weighed in
at 6 pounds,9 ounces and Rachel Elizabeth weighed in at 7 pounds even.
they both looked identical. Daddy says they are identical twins. They
looked kinda like aliens at first. they both had a little tuft of
black hair, but the same eyes as Grandma. Daddy says I can't hold
them yet, but soon. I am really excited. Write more Soon.
